Subi is a personal household net worth tracking app developed by Hirza Pimentel ("we", "us", "our"). Your privacy is fundamental to how we built it. Subi stores all data locally on your device and does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or financial information.
Subi does not collect any data. Specifically:
Subi processes data solely to provide the app's functionality as requested by you. All processing occurs locally on your device to enable net worth tracking, financial planning calculations, and data visualization.
The legal basis for this processing is the performance of the service you have requested by using the app. We do not process your data for any other purpose, including marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making.
All data you enter into Subi, including household members, assets, liabilities, value history, and simulation settings, is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's local storage frameworks.
Sensitive settings are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption with a device-bound key stored in the iOS Keychain. Passcodes are salted and hashed using SHA-256 and are never stored in plain text.
Your data is retained on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. You can delete all data at any time from Settings within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all associated data from your device.
Subi allows you to export encrypted backups of your data. These backups are encrypted with AES-256 using a password you choose. Backup files are created locally and shared only through methods you initiate (e.g., AirDrop, Files, email). Subi does not upload backups to any server.
If you choose to store backups in iCloud Drive or share them via email or other services, those transfers and storage are governed by the respective service provider's privacy policies. Subi itself does not transfer any data outside your device.
Subi does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms. The app functions entirely offline and does not require an internet connection.
Subi does not transfer your data across borders or to any external servers. If you choose to export your data using built-in sharing features (e.g., iCloud, email, AirDrop), any resulting cross-border transfer is initiated by you and governed by the service you select.
Subi does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). The app allows you to track household members marked as children, but this data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted.
